The Kendal Suite

The Kendal Suite is the original centrepiece of The Lakes Care centre and consists of a beautiful, historic Victorian mansion, complete with imposing hallways and magnificent cornices.

It is currently undergoing a thorough refurbishment but will reopen soon.

Upon its completion, this breathtaking ‘home from home’ will offer accommodation for private residents in 15 single bedrooms. All rooms are tastefully decorated and equipped with modern conveniences.

Support is offered by care assistants based in the adjoining nursing and residential suites. What’s more, thanks to a modern nurse call system with points in every room, this expert help is always available at the mere push of a button.

Other facilities include a passenger lift that affords easy access to the first-floor bedrooms, and a comfortable TV lounge. Like all those living at the Centre, residents of The Kendal Suite also enjoy a full programme of optional and organised activities, which take place both during the day and in the evenings.

Ultimately, The Kendal Suite is about offering independence along with a little extra support. As such, residents are welcome to bring small items with them to give their rooms that homely, personal touch. Friends and relatives are also free to either visit or to take them out at any reasonable time.
